Business Alerts

Sage Enterprise Solutions is pleased to announce that following an OEM agreement between Sage Enterprise Solutions and Categoric software, Business Alerts will be available for Sage Enterprise and Sage Line 200.

What is an Alert? An Alert is the notification of KPIs, trends, events, non-events, exceptions, business rules, thresholds and emergencies, delivered via static or dynamic eMail, pager, SMS, fax, HTML or XML.

Too much information causes confusion. Business Alerts for Sage Enterprise and Sage Line 200 allows users to manage through exception by giving proactive warnings when action is required, allowing a business to focus on the quality of information available rather than the quantity.

Business Alerts allow co-operation throughout the supply chain. AMR states that, “Supply chain applications must be able to communicate and optimise in real time, and be easily extendable to partners outside the company,” and, “A Supply Chain information backbone is required for eBusiness fulfilment.”

Information must be personalised, communication must be interactive, and recipients will be mobile.

Business Alerts for Sage Enterprise and Sage Line 200 will deliver many key business benefits to your users and prospects:

>   eMail a customer when the status of an order changes in real time, detailing the change
>   Inform a supplier when a purchase invoice is received without a purchase order number, reminding them that payment can only be made with a valid PO
>   Page the warehouse manager when an urgent order needs to be picked
>   eMail the purchasing manager when stock is nearing critical level
>   Inform an account manager via eMail that Preactor has rescheduled a works order which will result in a sales order being shipped later than promised; Trend Analysis will also show the production manager over time how many orders are shipped late due to capacity constraints in manufacture
>   Inform management when a supplier that is paid via BACS has bank details modified
>   Send an eMail informing a user that they have a requisition that needs to be actioned
>   A week before month end, send an eMail to the sales manager listing sales staff that have not yet reached 80% of target but only if their performance has been poor for the quarter to date
>   Send an SMS message to all field sales staff telling them that a popular item has been superseded, improved or discounted further
