The Database Manager
module gives you extensive control over the day-to-day use of Sage software. The product has been designed to maintain
database independence and can therefore support both flat file and
Relation database structures providing optimised access for either.
The module facilitates key advantages of relational databases, such
as transaction logging and ‘roll-back, roll-forward’, thus providing
data integrity of the very highest level.
The Database Manager interface allows you to
tailor the business functions to your requirements without needing
any knowledge of programming. This extends to allow the application
of data validation rules, and configuration of the user interface
for generation of personalised menus.
The Database Manager lets you keep track of significant events using
the System Log independent from the Database. This allows each user
to inspect a personal System Log, showing only his or her activities.
The administrator can find out what task each user is doing at any
given moment, and operate full transaction logging, so that you can
recover transactions in the event of a computer failure.
