The Adaptus Warehouse Management
System (WMS) provides the Sage Line 500
or Sage CS/3 user with functionality which
will help control and utilise Warehouse
space more efficiently. The main areas covered
are Warehouse Putaway, Pick Face Replenishment,
Picking and Despatching. The module can
also be used in conjunction with Bar Codes
and Scanners.
The Warehouse Putaway system
assists the user by recommending where received
goods should be stored in the Warehouse.
This includes the ability to breakdown the
Warehouse space into Zones, each containing
specific Bins. The user can then define
the rules which the system will use to determine
where goods should be stored, including
the Zones and Bin Types to be used, and
the sequence in which the system should
search for space.
The Pick Face Replenishment
system is used where a user picks products
for sale from dedicated Bins which need
to be replenished from a bulk storage area.
Again, the user can define the rules for
Replenishment, including the stock levels
which trigger replenishment. The system
interfaces directly to the standard Sage
Inventory, Purchase Order Processing and
Sales Order Processing and systems. This
does not involve any changes to the standard
packages.
The Picking/Despatching
System has a number of advantages over the
standard system. The Picking List can change
the way products are allocated to Sales
Orders and can be linked to the Load Scheduling
system. Despatch Confirmation offers a number
of enhancements, which include the combination
of both manual and automatic confirmation
of order lines.
