Overview
Sage Web Enterprise is a family of products that will enable you to take full advantage of the latest web technologies and benefit from extending your business online. Sage Web Enterprise is integrated with Microsoft and IBM e-business technologies and can enable your business to be online in weeks - this need not be an expensive project nor require huge investment. Sage Web Enterprise enables real-time access and updates between the website and Line 200, Line 500 or CS/3 business management systems, through a seamless integration. It enables remote online access to all system users, providing full access to business information at any time through an internet browser.

With the Sage Web Enterprise family of products, you will be able to:

Web Access and Process
The Web Enterprise suite is comprised of two categories of products. Those that relate to access and those that relate to process.

Web Access products enable utilisation of your Sage software via the Internet and include Web Client, Web Portal, Web Reporting and ASP. Products in the Web Process category extend the business processes to utilise the Internet as the means of collaborating with your customers and business partners, so being able to share information with them. Products include Web Sales, Web Planning, Web Supply Chain and Web Procurement.

Products
Sage Web Enterprise comprises a number of products covering a range of business processes:

Web Client

The Web Client option provides a low cost, remote access solution for Line 500 users. Business information can be accessed using an Internet browser through a central resource, thereby lowering administration costs. Web Client is a mature product with many sites already utilising it for web-based access to Sage Line 500 Systems products. The latest release adds support for SSL encryption and so makes it an even better choice for allowing access to the core system over the Internet.

Web Sales

Shipping since 1st September 2000, Web Sales offers the benefits of real-time web transactions and creating value by connecting buyers with suppliers quickly and efficiently. Web Sales provides an online, integrated web store that allows your customers to order goods and services anytime of the day or night. Web Sales provides tight integration between Line 500 and the eCommerce web site. This means that customers can use the Internet to dynamically browse product information, gain access to customer and product inventory information and create and track orders.

Web Sales 1.0 provides integration with Microsoft Site Server Commerce Edition 3.0. A subsequent release of Web Sales will provide integration with IBM WebSphere Commerce Suite.

Web Portal

With Web Portal individual Line 500 users can have their own personalised view of 'their world'. Displayed in a browser, such as Internet Explorer, each user can have the information that is right for them so allowing them to have the facts available at their fingertips. The information could be key performance indicators or reports relating to their area of operation e.g. Sales, or the ability to access their Line 200, Line 500 or CS/3 system with the single click of a mouse and so start exploring the business.

Web Procurement

Web Procurement provides the ability to exchange purchase orders with suppliers, or trading communities, utilising the Internet and technologies such as XML and Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000. This will make a real impact on your purchasing costs by ensuring orders are consolidated and sourced at the best price.
